Miami is entering a new phase of waterfront transformation as construction begins on Riverside Wharf, a $350 million project poised to reshape the Miami River. After more than a decade of discussions and multiple city referendums, this development marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the downtown riverfront.

Spanning 1.35 acres, Riverside Wharf will feature a 167-room luxury hotel, a 30,000-square-foot nightclub, a rooftop pool and day club, a new marina, and 16,000 square feet of restaurants, including the expansion of the iconic García’s. Designed to create a cohesive, walkable waterfront, the project integrates hospitality, entertainment, and public spaces. Construction begins this month, with completion expected in 2028.

Riverside Wharf represents more than a new destination—it reflects Miami’s continued momentum as a global city. The project will energize the Miami River District, elevate its cultural and economic activity, and contribute to a more vibrant and connected urban experience for residents and visitors alike.
